Keith R. Smith - see my resume

Mr. Smith is the current Treasurer of the Homebuilders Association of South Carolina. He was the 2003 President of the Homebuilders Association of Greenville where he has been a member since 1970. He was the 2003 Chairman of the Home and Garden Show of Greenville, SC, a committee he has served on since 1997. He was the Vice President/Treasurer of the Homebuilders Association of Greenville in 2002 and the local Legislative Chairman from 1998-2002. He is a Director for the Builders Political Action Committee. He sits on the Board of the Homebuilders Self Insurer’s Fund, a company that sells workers compensation to people in the building industry. Elected by the Home Builders Association of Greenville as 2004 Builder of the Year.

From 1998 to 2003 Keith served as a National Director for the National Homebuilders Association (NAHB), served on the Custom Builders Committee, and National Trustee for the Commercial Builders Council.

Keith is an active member of the Greater Greenville Association of REALTORS®. As a REALTOR®, Keith takes an active role serving on the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) since 1998.

He was the 2003 RPAC Chairman for the South Carolina Association of REATLORS®. He was Vice Chair of the same committee in 2002. He also serves on the Budget and Finance Committee for the South Carolina Association of REALTORS®.

Keith’s numerous business accomplishments include being a Custom Builder since 1969, REALTOR® since 1972, 1995 delegate to the White House Conference for Small Business, State Director for National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) since 1995 and Developer of several small subdivisions throughout his career.

Keith maintains time out of his busy schedule to give back to his community through volunteering. Some of his volunteer work has included serving on the ADHOC Committee for rezoning the City of Greenville, ADHOC Committee for rezoning the City of Greer, Certified Counselor for Stephen Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Palmetto Society Member for the United Way, 25 years of voluntary service with the Mason/Shriners Organization and a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church.
